The board has scheduled our Annual General Meeting for the 22nd of March, at 7 PM, after class.
Given the financial year we've had, we hope to cover a bit more detail about
the dojo's operations this year. With that in mind, we'd like to start
discussing the agenda early. We'll be posting the proposed agenda on the
web this week, and we hope to have the financial statement complete by the
end of the month.
We'll be soliciting comments and input on several questions in advance of
the AGM, and hopefully by the end of March we'll have completed a healthy
debate and have a common vision of our direction in the new year.

It is with sadness and sympathy that I am writing to inform you of the
passing of Patricia Konigsberg, the beloved wife of Sensei Harvey
Konigsberg. Harvey Sensei is doing as well as can be expected, and though
the sorrow is enormous, he knows she is now at peace. A Caring Bridge
guestbook has been set up for Patty, where people can write entries. Harvey
is reading these regularly, and is greatly touched by what has been

There will be no funeral service, but rather a memorial service in the
spring. In lieu of flowers, it has been suggested that people send food
platters or food baskets to his student Lowell Miller's house, where he
